Date, Time & Location: Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 3:30 to 5:30 in the library
Ages: 2nd through 6th grade students

Code.org is known for the annual "Hour of Code" experience which provides students with an introduction to the foundational concepts of programming using drag and drop blocks. To extend the experience, Code.org offers sequential courses for students to work through and advance their skills. This two hour after school session will be a time for students to choose a course that's best suited to their age and ability and work with other students to build their knowledge. After attending this class, students will be able to continue their work on the courses on their own.

Note: Students in grades 3-6 will be able to log in using their district Google K12 account. By logging in, their work will be saved and they will be able to track their own progress through the courses. Students in grade 2 who are interested in saving their work will need their parents to set them up with a Code.org account. Once signed up for the class, Mr. Kleyn will email 2nd grade parents with a link to set up an account. If a 2nd grade student does not have an account set up, they will still be able to participate, but they won't be able to save their progress.
